IA Checker combines focused tools for detecting AI signals and improving text. Start with the content you have, then follow the evidence from the headline result into the detailed signals.

## Choose a workflow

*IA Checker workflows by source*

| What you have | Start here | What you receive |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pasted text | AI Text Detector | Sentence-level signals and an AI probability |
| Public web page | URL analysis | Readable page text and a detection report |
| PDF, DOCX or scan | Document Reader | Extracted text ready for a check |
| JPG, PNG or WebP | AI Image Detector | Visual, forensic and provenance signals |
| Text to improve | Writing tools | A rewrite, correction, translation or summary |

> **Start with the original file when possible**
>
> Original documents and images preserve more structure, metadata and provenance than screenshots or copied excerpts.

## Read every result in three parts

1. **Verdict**: The clearest summary of how the measured signals lean.
2. **Probability**: A normalized reading for the analyzed content, not a claim about who authored it.
3. **Evidence**: The sentence, visual, file and provenance checks that shaped the result.

Use the evidence to understand *why* the result moved. Longer text, original files and preserved source data generally give the analysis more to work with.

## Where to go next

- Follow the [quickstart](/docs/quickstart) for a first text or image check.
- Read [core concepts](/docs/core-concepts) before comparing scores across different inputs.
- Review [accounts and plans](/docs/accounts-and-plans) for document, image and advanced workflow access.
- Open [privacy and security](/docs/privacy-and-security) to see where processing happens.
