A first check takes less than a minute. The most useful habit is to begin with enough original content and review the signal details before acting on the headline score.

## Run a text check

1. **Open the AI Text Detector**: Paste at least 12 words. A few paragraphs produce a more useful confidence reading.
2. **Select Check AI**: The standard pasted-text analysis runs in the browser and returns immediately.
3. **Review highlighted sentences**: Compare the overall result with the sentence-level rhythm, punctuation and phrasing signals.
4. **Continue only when useful**: Save optional history, export an eligible report or open a writing tool from the result.

## Run an image check

1. **Use an original image**: Choose a JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP file up to 15 MB.
2. **Start the analysis**: IA Checker creates a private asynchronous job and processes the uploaded file.
3. **Read the combined report**: Review model checks, source signatures, file forensics and visible-label evidence together.

## Get a stronger reading

- Prefer a complete passage over a single sentence.
- Upload the original file instead of a screenshot when the source is available.
- Keep metadata intact when provenance matters.
- Compare multiple related samples instead of treating one score as the entire review.
