URL and website analysis
URL analysis fetches public page content, extracts readable text and sends that text through the detection workflow. It does not bypass logins, paywalls or private network controls.
Single-page flow
- Validate the URL
Only public HTTP and HTTPS destinations are accepted.
- Fetch the page
IA Checker follows safe redirects and applies an eight-second reading timeout.
- Extract readable text
Navigation, scripts and other non-content elements are excluded where possible.
- Analyze the result
Up to 40,000 readable characters from a fetched page enter the text detector.
Whole-site scan
Pro and Max workflows can expand from the submitted page to a small set of same-origin pages. The current request is capped at 12 pages so the review remains focused and predictable.
The crawler stays on the same origin and applies server-side network safeguards. Pages that require a session, execute only after user interaction or block automated access may not expose readable content.
Best results
- Use the canonical article URL rather than a search or preview page.
- Prefer pages with substantial visible prose.
- Check representative pages separately when a site has several authors or content types.
- Paste the source text directly if extraction returns navigation or boilerplate instead of the article.
