Usage question

Does rewriting AI text beat a detector?

Verified 2026-08-05

Substantial human rewriting usually moves a result toward human, because much of the writing then is human. Light paraphrasing often lands in a hybrid tier instead — patterns that still look generated underneath a smoother surface.

"Beating" a detector is the wrong goal for applicants and students. If a policy bans undisclosed AI drafting, disclosure and process matter more than a score chase. If the goal is readability, revise for voice and specifics, not for a percentage.
