Terms of Service

The rules that protect your access, your content and the reliable operation of IA Checker.

01

Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and the operator of IA Checker. They govern your access to iachecker.com, its accounts, subscriptions, application programming interfaces and text, image or media tools (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use IA Checker for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

02

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. Account information must be accurate and kept current. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting access to your email and authentication session.

You may not share, sell or transfer account credentials. Notify IA Checker through the contact@iachecker.com or the contact form if you believe an account has been accessed without authorisation.

03

Service and AI-assisted results

IA Checker provides detection, analysis, rewriting and related content tools. Scores, labels, highlighted passages and comparisons are probabilistic indicators. They are not proof of authorship, plagiarism, misconduct or intent and must not be used as the sole basis for academic, employment, legal, financial or other consequential decisions.

Automated systems may produce false positives, false negatives, omissions or wording that requires review. You remain responsible for checking the source material, context, citations, facts and final output before relying on or publishing it.

04

Licence and intellectual property

Subject to these Terms, IA Checker grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Service for lawful purposes. IA Checker and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, interfaces, models, prompts, branding, documentation and generated analysis format.

No right is granted to copy, distribute, sublicense, sell, reverse engineer or create a competing service from protected parts of IA Checker except where mandatory law expressly permits it.

05

Your content

You retain ownership of text, files, URLs and other content you submit, and of your rights in resulting output. You grant IA Checker a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, transmit and process that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the feature you requested.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to submit the content and that processing it will not violate law, confidentiality obligations or third-party rights. IA Checker does not sell submitted content or use it to train IA Checker models unless you separately and expressly opt in to such use.

06

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law, infringe intellectual property, privacy or contractual rights, or process content without authority;
  • facilitate fraud, harmful impersonation, harassment, malware, exploitation or deceptive activity;
  • bypass safeguards, usage limits, access controls or subscription restrictions;
  • probe, disrupt or overload systems, introduce malicious code, or interfere with another user;
  • scrape, crawl, automate or access the Service outside an approved interface or documented API;
  • reverse engineer models or software, extract prompts or datasets, or use output to develop or train a competing detection or humanisation system; or
  • resell access, credentials, credits or results as IA Checker services without written permission.

IA Checker may investigate suspected abuse and take proportionate measures to protect users, providers and the Service.

07

Plans, credits and fair use

Features, processing limits and partner allowances depend on the plan and billing period displayed at purchase. Credits and allowances have no cash value, are not transferable and normally reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over unless an offer expressly says otherwise.

Partner allowances included with a paid subscription become available after the first successful payment is confirmed. “Unlimited” features remain subject to reasonable safeguards against automated abuse, resale, system disruption and use materially outside normal individual or team workflows.

08

Subscriptions, trials and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed by Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis at the price, currency and taxes shown at checkout. Unless cancelled, a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period.

Where a three-day free trial is offered, no subscription charge is taken until the trial ends, unless you choose to end the trial and start paid access immediately. You may cancel during the trial or manage renewal through the account billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period unless the interface states otherwise.

Payments are non-refundable once a billing period has begun except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in an offer. Statutory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal right, remain unaffected. Prices may change prospectively with reasonable notice.

09

Third-party services

IA Checker relies on specialised service providers for infrastructure, authentication, payments, contact handling and selected AI tools. Some features may display or connect to third-party names, models or services. Their processing may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

IA Checker is not responsible for third-party websites or services that it does not control. The Privacy Policy explains when information is shared with service providers to perform a requested feature.

10

Availability and changes

IA Checker works to keep the Service secure and available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every result will be error-free. Maintenance, provider incidents, security events and technical changes may temporarily affect access.

IA Checker may improve, replace or discontinue features, models and limits while preserving paid access in a commercially reasonable manner. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated where required.

11

Suspension and termination

You may stop using IA Checker at any time and may cancel a subscription through the billing portal. IA Checker may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address non-payment, a material breach, unlawful conduct, security risk, abuse or harm to the Service or others.

Where appropriate, IA Checker will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers and liability limits—will remain in effect.

12

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” IA Checker disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No detection score, rewrite or other output is a guarantee of accuracy, originality, acceptance by a third-party detector or suitability for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

13

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IA Checker will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profit, data, opportunity, reputation or business interruption arising from use of the Service.

IA Checker’s aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to IA Checker during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

14

Business-user indemnity

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you will defend and indemnify IA Checker against third-party claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use, or your material breach of these Terms, except to the extent the claim was caused by IA Checker. This section does not apply to consumers where prohibited by law.

15

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please send a clear description of the dispute through the contact@iachecker.com or the contact form so the parties can try to resolve it.

Subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules, disputes will be submitted to the competent French courts.

16

Changes and contact

IA Checker may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, operational or product changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be notified through the Service or another appropriate channel before they take effect where required.

Questions, notices and legal requests may be submitted through the contact@iachecker.com or the contact form. Select the closest available topic and state that your request concerns the Terms of Service.
