Ask for the passages that drove the score, not only the percentage. Ask which tool and which version produced the report. Offer drafts, notes, timestamps and earlier writing in the same voice.
Stay precise: detectors err, especially on short or formal writing and on non-native English. You do not need to "disprove" a model; you need a fair process that looks at evidence a person can evaluate.
Avoid running the same text through five free detectors and picking the friendliest screenshot. That rarely persuades a reviewer. Process and drafts do.
